Tired of scrubbing all around your house with the expensive cleaning supplies which give no result after cleaning? This might be because you never thought that the cheap and not-at-all-toxic products could be good at cleaning. You may or may not believe it, but one of these cheap cleaning supplies is the daily kitchen ingredient vinegar only. Vinegar is a weak form of acetic acid and is derived from fermenting alcohol. It is prepared from food and grains only. Along with its culinary uses, vinegar is further used in many green cleaning supplies due to its magical cleaning properties.

With the pH level of 2.0, vinegar acts as a disinfecting liquid which kills many harmful bacteria present in the surrounding environment of a family. In a study done in 1997 by Journal of Environmental Health proved that undiluted vinegar was as beneficial as bleach in removing the bacteria E. coli from various surfaces and sponges.

Some Common Uses Of Vinegar In Daily Cleaning Are:

1. Removing room odor: Just leave a bowl of vinegar open in that room overnight.
2. Removes Stains: Mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of liquid dish wash with 1 cup of warm water to clean those stubborn stains. Dry the stain with a hairdryer on low settings.
3. Cleaning commode: Spray a mixture of vinegar and water in the commode for killing all the bacteria to make it clean.
4. Cleaning microwave: Boil a cup of water along with 1/2 cup of vinegar in the microwave in order to clean it.
5. Prevents colors from running in the wash by mixing it with water before cleaning.
6. Cleans Metals like copper, brass, and silver: Dissolve a teaspoon salt in one cup vinegar and flour to create a thick paste. With this paste, clean the metals by applying and warm water washing.

These were the few uses of vinegar to showcase its cleaning properties, but the list apparently doesn’t end here. To find more uses of vinegar, be sure to test these DIYs and google more about vinegar’s cleaning properties.
